Czech jewellery at S O Gallery

First time ever, a selection of the best of Czech fine and contemporary jewellery comes to London.

First time ever, a selection of the best of Czech contemporary jewellery comes to London. The exhibition commissioned by Czech Centre London presents unique works by four innovative designers from Prague and will be hosted at the East London Gallery S O. As part of London Craft Week, 'Purity and Decadence: Contemporary Czech Jewellery' is set to celebrate and inspire the design industry throughout May.

This group exhibition is the first of its kind showcasing several generations of contemporary Czech jewellery and metalwork in the United Kingdom. Each of the presented artists is unique in their style and approach to object, but they all belong to the most renowned in their field of practice. The award-winning collections by Eva Eisler, Nastassia Aleinikava, Zorya, Markéta Kratochvílová and students of the K.O.V. studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, are connected by their original vision pushing the boundaries of what we understand by jewellery and exceptional craftsmanship.
