Made in Prague festival - CBBC special screening in London

The CBCC and the Czech Centre are jointly involved in a special screening of Alois Nebel, a black and white animation, directed by Tomáš Luňák, due to be held on Friday 9th November, at 8.15pm, at the Riverside Studios.

CBCC are invited to attend an opening gala screening of Alois Nebel, a black and white animation, directed by Tomáš Luňák, due to be held on Friday 9th November, at 8.15pm, at the Riverside Studios followed by the Live Music Party that takes place after this.

Summer 1989. Alois Nebel works as a stationmaster in a small village in the Jeseník mountains, close to the Polish border. Preferring old timetables to people, Nebel lives through his memories, haunted by the violent post-war expulsion of the Germans and getting lost in the mists of time. An encounter with a mysterious mute man and kind Květa helps him to connect the past with the present and find middle-aged love. Based on the graphic novel trilogy by Jaroslav Rudiš and Jaromír 99 this is a superbly atmospheric debut using rotoscope animation and evocative soundtrack to portray the fractured psychology of a man and his country.

Complimentary ticket for the members are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so if you would like to attend, please email c.munday@uhy-uk.com before Friday 2nd November, or call on 020 7216 4623.
