First Annual Central European Conference at LSE - 5 March 2017

Join a discussion on topics that shape the region.



The First Annual Central European Conference, organised by the LSESU Czech & Slovak Society with the support of LSE Annual Fund, aims to bring together Czech and Slovak students and professionals in London, as well as any students interested in the region, and provide a platform for discussion about key topics, challenges and opportunities that will transform Central Europe in near future.

The Conference will take place on the 5 March 2017 at the London School of Economics (LSE) and will feature six panel discussions on topics ranging from digitalisation, start-ups, or diaspora in development of our countries. Participants will have an opportunity to hear from and network with academics, public figures from the region and professionals including professors from the Faculty of Eastern and Slavic Studies at UCL and experts from the private sector such as Martin Bruncko from AeroMobile or Peter Irikovský from Exponea. Former Prime Minister of Slovakia Iveta Radičová will deliver a speech as weel as well-known Czech economist Tomáš Sedláček, author of the book Economics of Good and Evil.

Come and join us for a day full of inspiring people, stimulating discussions and use the unique opportunity to meet like-minded students and professionals interested in the region and future of Central Europe!
