Surviving Life – a film by Jan Svankmajer

CBCC members have been cordially invited to attend a screening of Surviving Life, by Jan Svankmajer, on Saturday 15 June 2013, at 10.00am, at the Institute of Psychoanalysis, 112A Shirland Road, London.

Andrea Sabbadini, Chairman of the Screening Conditions series of films and discussions, will chair this event, and there will be a discuss after the screening with Ian Christie, film critic, broadcaster and historian.

The film follows the story of Eugene, who is leading a double life – one real, the other in his dreams.  Sensing that there may be a deeper meaning in his dreams, he visits a psychoanalyst.  The film is a brilliant surrealistic fantasy on dreams and psychoanalysis.

If you would like to attend this event, the tickets are £19.95 (£9.95 for full time students, unwaged and members of the Institute of Psychoanalysis), including refreshments.

To order your tickets, either book online at www.beyondthecouch.org.uk or send a cheque made out to The Institute of Psychoanalysis to: Ann Glynn, The Institute of Psychoanalysis, 112A Shirland Road, London W9 2EQ
