The Czech British Chamber of Commerce has become a partner of the International Fashion Showcase in London.
The CBCC member were invited to the private view showcase of Central Europe Fashion, style and creativity featuring a AW 14/15 live fashion performance from Czech Designer Petra Ptackova and a unique video presentation celebrating the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic on 14th February.
VOYAGE THROUGH CENTRAL EUROPE AT THE INTERNATIONAL FASHION SHOWCASE 2014

The Czech Centre London, Balassi Institute, Hungarian Cultural Centre London and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the UK proudly present Voyage through Central Europe: a joint showcase of 14 emerging designer talents from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia who will present their newest collections of garments, jewellery and accessories as part of the 2014 International Fashion Showcase.
The project was jointly curated by the Czech Fashion Council, Design Terminal Hungary and the Slovak Fashion Council and aims to introduce the best in current young fashion design. The selected work borders between visual arts and fashion design and creatively blends traditional materials with new technologies, while focusing on strong personal statements.
The showcase primarily takes the form of a beautiful static exhibition in the fascinating space of 180 The Strand. The exhibition architect Gaspar Bonta combines the rough concrete walls with exquisite objects from Czech glass company LASVIT and dynamic video-mapping allowing the visitors to fully explore all the new trends and fashion ideas coming from Central Europe.
The exhibition is accompanied by a number of intriguing events:
On Friday February 14th 2014 at 7.30 pm the Voyage through Central Europe will officially open with a private view and fashion performance featuring new work of award-winning Czech designer Petra Ptáčková. (Main venue: 180 The Strand, London WC2R 1EA)
On Saturday February 15th from 11am - 1pm adults and children are invited to attend the playful workshop Golden Yarn and create their own original accessory in the company of young edgy designers. (Main venue: 180 The Strand, London WC2R 1EA)
Saturday February 15th 2014 at 7pm the most celebrated award-winning Czech fashion designer Jakub Polanka will present his multidisciplinary FASHION ART LAB with creative design by OLO and music by V! (Oozlum) at RED Gallery, 3 Rivington Street, London, EC2A 3DT
